Jean Luc is one of the most prominent DJ & Producers in the Czech Republic. His musical journey began at the age of 13 in 2002 when he started experimenting with sound and music production. Subsequently, at the age of 15, he finished his first single, which was released on vinyl.
Since the age of 16 he has been DJing in the local and international club scene and has been a frequent guest at festivals such as Machac, Citadela, Air Festival, Sázavafest, Cityfest, Metronome Festival, Holi Festival and others. He also gained influence in the club scene thanks to his long-lasting collaboration with Michael Burian and as a ghost producer for many well-known artists.
His work has received support from global electronic music icons such as David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Nervo, KSHMR, Nicky Romero, Blasterjaxx, Sam Feldt, Paul Van Dyk, EDX, Don Diablo, Bingo Players, DJs From Mars, Cedric Gervais, Alex Gaudino, Moguai, R3hab, Plastik Funk and more.
Jean Luc officially remixed and collaborated with big names such as Steve Rodway (Erasure, Spice Girls, Gina G…), 7th Heaven (Kylie Minogue, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo, Lady Gaga, P!nk,…), Robin S (Show Me Love), Inaya Day (Horny ’98), Block & Crown, Carol Jiani and Kosheen to name a few.
Jean has his works signed to some of the best labels around the world such as KONTOR Records, Universal Music, Ministry of Sound, Bonzai Music, Peak Hour Music, Ensis Records, Vamos Music, Pulsive or on his own label JL Music and Tomasko Records. He also presents his work on his radio show “Official Podcast”.
Jean has repeatedly charted in the renowned UK Dance Chart (England), ARIA (Australia), Beatport Top 100 and other global music charts. On the domestic scene, he has topped the charts of Europe 2, Radio Kiss, Fajn Radio and was named Best Czech Producer by Bass Awards and Czech Trance Awards.
He is also the author of many soundtracks and sound imaging for radio and TV. His creativity and ability to adapt to different musical styles makes him one of the most important personalities in the field of electronic music.
After the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jean Luc teamed up with Australian DJ and producer Nick Jay to form a successful production duo and run their label Tomasko Records together.
His DJing is best described as a strong combination of hard-hitting beats and melodicism, characterized by elements of progressive and electrotech styles in his energetic sets. Jean knows how to read a crowd and can easily adapt the style of his mixes to any audience.
